Showing 2 of 3I have purchased several pairs of walking boots over the years and find most require some breaking in before they become comfortable.
These boots I have only recently purchased and have worn without the usual pain and discomfort you would expect from a new boot. They are simply brilliant and I would advise anyone thinking of buying a pair to do so.

I bought a pair of these a few years ago, and they have never let me down. I used them for road marches and on exercise over rough terrain and have easily done 500 miles in them with no blisters.
I agree with the other review, they do take some walking in, so take that into account if you need them at short notice!
These boots are really built to last, and there is no disadvantage to the GoreTex models (GoreTex always seems a bit pointless to me when there is a big whole in the top for your foot...) Just polish them regularly and they will be just as waterproof and never let you down.
Don't think about it, they are the best of the best and over the years the price will be worth it!
